Couples Therapy

Gamze works in Couples therapy with couples across the spectrum, from those who are seeking to iron out any issues before committing to marriage or the birth of their first child, to couples who are struggling with issues in the relationship, to those who are deciding whether to continue the relationship or want assistance with separating amicably.

Gamze practices from an attachment theory framework using emotionally focused therapy (EFT) as her primary modality when working with couples.

This therapy is offered as 60 or 90 minute sessions. When considered overall, she aims to give each partner equal attention, but during some sessions, there may be more time spent working with one of the parties if relevant. Sometimes it can be helpful to have a separate session with each individual separately, but in general Gamze prefers to work with couples together.

Please note, if you are experiencing domestic violence and/or you feel unsafe in the relationship, this therapy at this point may not be appropriate. See the resources page to get contact details for support.
